Melbourne Victory Celebrates Partnership with Compeat Nutrition

Melbourne Victory Partners with Compeat Nutrition to dial-up player performance on and off the field

A-League Club, Melbourne Victory has announced a new partnership with Compeat Nutrition, the innovative Australian start-up changing the way elite sports teams develop, manage, and maintain player performance and wellbeing.

The partnership will see Melbourne Victory deliver Compeat’s world-leading digital health platform to it’s A-League Men’s, Women’s and Academy program players from October.

Melbourne Victory Director of Football, John Didulica said, “we’re excited to bring the Compeat difference to all of our athletes at Melbourne Victory.

“Compeat’s industry leading platform provides our performance team with incredible data and insights on player health, wellbeing, and injury and performance risk.

“This approach is a new way to understand and support our players as individuals to proactively and collaboratively work as a unit to manage the influences in their environment that impact physical and mental performance on and off the pitch.

“As a club, we’re committed to ensuring we field the best team week in, week out, but also work together to set our athletes up for success beyond a career in football, and the Compeat solution is a key component in that strategy.”

Delivered via the app direct to player’s homes and pockets, Compeat Nutrition provides Melbourne Victory players with 24/7 access to tools, knowledge, and resources, along with the teams accredited performance dietitian, to help them build skills and develop positive behaviours that lead to increased resilience, faster recovery, improved mental health, and positive club culture.

Co-founder/Co-CEO and Director of Performance Services at Compeat Nutrition, Alicia Edge said, “after a successful rollout with Football Australia, we’re pleased to be working with forward-thinking clubs like Melbourne Victory on changing the way athletes, coaches, and performance teams collaborate, measure and empower player health, for good.

“Gone are the days of skin fold tests, weight measures and restrictive diets that compound negative behaviours. We know these lead to lasting mental health issues and poor player performance.

“What we also now know, from our data, is that the players that spent less time on the sideline and demonstrate increased resilience, are those that are empowered to make confident and informed decisions about how they fuel their body, both in the team environment, and in everyday life.

“We are looking forward to the Women’s & Men’s season with Melbourne Victory and continuing to grow our impact across their programs.”
